Reserva funcional renal como parámetro de función renal y aplicabilidad en la práctica clínica: Revisión de tema

Resumen

La evaluación de la función renal en la práctica clínica se realiza midiendo la tasa de filtración glomerular (TFG) o los niveles de creatinina sérica (Cr). Estos parámetros no son lo suficientemente sensibles para identificar una injuria renal aguda subclínica, los valores de TFG y de Cr pueden permanecer estables incluso con una pérdida del 50% de las nefronas debido a un proceso de hiperfiltración compensatorio. La medición de la reserva funcional renal (RFR) es un mejor marcador para identificar el daño renal agudo subclínico. Por lo cual este artículo propone realizar una revisión de tema de la literatura publicada entre 2010-2020 sobre la reserva funcional renal como parámetro de función renal utilizando 53 artículos y un libro.

  

ABSTRACT

The evaluation of renal function in clinical practice is performed by measuring the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) or serum creatinine levels (Cr). These parameters are not sensitive enough to identify an acute subclinical renal injury, TFG and Cr values can remain stable even with a loss of 50% of the nephrons due to a compensatory hyperfiltration process. The measurement of renal functional reserve (RFR) is a better marker for identifying subclinical acute renal damage. Therefore, this article proposes a review of the literature published between 2010-2020 about the renal function reserve as a renal function parameter using 53 articles and a book.
