The political Scopes of the regional productive integration. The case of Mercosur in a comparative perspective

Abstract

From a political science and international relations perspective this paper offers an analyze focused on agency –understood as the political actors and their ability to move forward and overcome obstacles of collective regional action– obeying to the premise that while structural conditions are necessary, are not sufficient, and to fulfill integration their has to be political willingness and decision by government officials, as observed in the case of Mercosur.
