Movilizaciones de mujeres en contra de la violencia de género en Colombia

Abstract

This article is framed within the Colombian armed conflict, and from there it analizes the complaints of the Movement “Women in Colombia”. These complaints are increased by the growth in violence againt women. Here some collective actions are taken up by this group in order to counter the violence, taking into account their main achievements in political and cultural aspects. A theoretical and contextual route is done to locate the scenaries of such violence and statistics about sexual crimes against women in the last decade are given.

Finally, Here there is an account of the main collective actions of the actors involved and the framework of meaning, constructed to raise awareness of violence to denaturalize it in order to enforce the demands of their life and body’s protection, engaging in hard work by peace, truth, justice and reparation.
