El papel de Estados Unidos en el proceso de negociación, desmovilización, desarme y reinserción de las Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia

Abstract

The present article analyzes the role that has played the United States in the process of Negotiation, Demobilization, Disarmament and Reintegration of the government of Alvaro Uribe with the United Self-defense of Colombia, AUC. In this direction, theoretical marks are explored in an attempt to characterize the Colombian conflict, like the one of the “New Wars”, the “Gray Areas” and the studies on the weakness of the State, that are considered pertinent and contributed to determine the reach that this illegal armed group has obtained like key actor of the conflict. Later, it is determined the form as the United States of America become involved in the process, and the repercussions that this interference brings for the development and the long term resolution of the confrontation armed lived in our country.
