Depressão e estresse percebido em uma amostra de casais mexicanos durante a primeira gravidez

Resumo

Escopo. Avaliar os níveis de estresse e depressão percebidos associados a casais com gravidez pela primeira vez. Método. Estudo transversal correlacional com amostragem de conveniência, que utiliza o Inventário de Depressão de Beck (BDI-II) e a Escala de Estresse Percebido (PSS). Participaram 94 casais mexicanos com gravidez pela primeira vez de uma instituição de saúde pública. Resultados. Diferenças significativas entre os sexos, mas nos dois pais o estresse não apresenta gravidade (< 28) e a depressão é encontrada em níveis de zero a mínimo (M = 4,64, SD = 3). As correlações de Spearman entre os grupos são positivas e significativas em estresse percebido (rs = 0,26, p = 0,001) e depressão (rs = 0,30, p = 0,001). Conclusão. Os achados revelam pouca gravidade, mas de acordo com os pontos de corte, as mulheres apresentam maior prevalência de estresse (10,6%) e depressão (24,5%), em comparação aos homens (6,4% e 9,6%, respetivamente), coincidindo com outros relatos. As associações entre o casal apresentam dependência, portanto, pressupõe-se uma relação próxima, onde o comportamento de um afeta o resultado do outro; isso representa um fator de risco para a díade. Propõe-se aprofundar nos fatores de risco associados aos problemas de saúde pública envolvendo as variáveis do estudo.
