Manifestaciones cutáneas asociadas a la infección por COVID-19. Una Revisión de la Literatura.

La infección por SARS-CoV-2 se ha extendido rápidamente hasta ser catalogada como una pandemia. La enfermedad por COVID-19 puede afectar diferentes sistemas, siendo el aparato respiratorio el más comprometido, sin embargo puede llegar a lesionar otros órganos entre ellos la piel; la semiología dermatológica es heterogénea y compleja, y se ha relacionado con la respuesta inmune a los nucleótidos del nuevo betacoronavirus o erupciones secundarias a secuelas por la infección. Para esta revisión de la literatura de tipo narrativo se realizó una búsqueda exhaustiva de bibliografía científica con el fin de describir las manifestaciones cutáneas más comunes en niños y adultos, asimismo con el objetivo de caracterizarlas, en donde se encontró que en adultos se han descrito manifestaciones cutáneas tipo: exantemas vesiculares, erupciones urticariales, exantemas maculopapulares y lesiones livedoides/necróticas, y en niños se han descrito lesiones tales como rash maculopapular eritematoso, sabañones y eritema multiforme. El síntoma más común manifestado es el prurito leve, y el compromiso de mucosas es raro. Es importante el conocimiento de las manifestaciones cutáneas por COVID-19 ya que lo anterior puede permitir un diagnóstico precoz junto con un impacto en las tasas de morbimortalidad.
