Abstract

This document shows the results obtained in a document review completed with
34 articles (19 empirical and 15 theoretical), related to Occupational Health, which
were written in Colombia. Most of them were published in Colombian scientific
journals since the 90s. The purposes of this article are to show in a general
way, the subjects related with Occupational Health that have been investigated
in Colombia recently, and also, to stand out the importance that they have on
Occupational Health for social sciences and health research and intervention. As a
result, it is found a slow development in Occupational Health research, compared
to other countries. As a conclusion, it is necessary to promote the research with
combined and time extended methodologies, to achieve a bigger understanding
of the phenomenon, as well as to strengthen the connection between the academy
and the organizations in order to do right investigations that give solutions to
specific problematic issues related to Occupational Health.
