La compraventa internacional de mercaderías y su integración en el ordenamiento jurídico colombiano
Abstract
The United Nations Convention on Contracts of International Sales of Goods came into force in Colombia on 1 august 2002, which implies that from that date, unless the parties state otherwise, the great majority of imports and exports in the country will be regulated by this legal instrument. The author presents a global and structural vision of the Convention, highlighting some topics of particular relevance in its area of application, the formation of the contract, the parties obligations and the breach of contract and its effects, as well as its influence in the internal legal order, since, notwithstanding the international character and the uniformity in its application, it must be considered as national law.
