Resumen

El glioblastoma es un tumor del sistema nervioso central (SNC) perteneciente a la familia de los gliomas. Este tumor suele presentar una elevada resistencia a los tratamientos convencionales debido a su alta heterogeneidad celular; por ello, se ha optado por el uso de técnicas diagnósticas avanzadas capaces de aportar información relevante sobre el tumor, los tejidos adyacentes y los biomarcadores relacionados. Precisamente por su gran variabilidad, estos marcadores biológicos constituyen un foco de estudio esencial en los glioblastomas, ya que proporcionan información crucial para conocer el pronóstico y las posibles terapias para el paciente, resultando fundamentales para un abordaje integral de la neoplasia.
